I like to organize everything. I organize my house, I make lists, and I label everything. This is why I am officially in love with Mabel’s Labels! No matter how much I labeled everything in my home, I never found a method of labeling my children’s items which could withstand everyday wear and tear. Which makes me so glad I discovered Mabel’s Labels. They withstand the dishwasher, microwave, laundry and hard wearing children. I use them to label cups, clothing, toys, shoes – you name it, I have probably labeled it. And they really have held true to their claim, that they are dishwasher and washing machine proof.
Mabel’s Labels is a Canadian company specializing in personalized labels, tags, and stationary. Founded by a group of moms who would get frustrated by the amount of baby and kid stuff that would go missing when their kids would go to babysitters, daycare, and playgroup. Mabel’s Labels offer an easy way to keep track of all your children’s items. They are great for labeling school or camp items. They also make a fabulous gift for anyone that lends their stuff out: baby clothes, toys, tools, Tupperware, shoes, books, etc. They come in a variety of designs and uses – they make clothing and shoe labels which are meant to be extra-tough. Check out all their great products and order Mabel’s Labels directly from their website.

Skin MD Natural is an amazing dry skin care treatment product which not only nourishes dry skin, but also repairs and protects it. Skin MD Natural is known as a “shielding lotion”, which keeps moisture-robbing irritants away from the skin while hydrating the skin throughout the day. It absorbs instantly without the slightest hint of greasy/oily feeling or residue.
Being in the health care field I suffer from dry, chapped hands from constant hand washing. I also wash my hands frequently while at home with my children. Needless to say, my poor hands take a beating day in and day out.
When I first tried Skin MD Natural, I instantly noticed the moisture in my hands without any greasy feeling. It was as though my hands were “drinking” the lotion. I then decided to try other areas of my skin, especially my problematic elbows, which have been dry ever since I could remember. After the first application, my elbows looked and felt smoother, and now a few weeks later you would never know I had a problem with dry elbows! I now use this lotion everywhere, even my face because it is non-comodogenic and actually seems to help my breakouts. I have a cabinet full of moisturizing lotions some of which are very expensive, and Skin MD Natural is the only one I use now, because it truly works.
Skin MD Natural prides itself on being hypoallergenic, fragrance and colorant free, and dermatologist tested. You can purchase Skin MD Natural directly from their website, and there are some local stores that carry this line. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my local pharmacy had this line. Click here to see if a store near you carries Skin MD Natural.

Barefoot Books are a very creative and intelligent line of children’s books, created by two mothers in 1993 who wanted to publish a line of books which introduced children to languages, other cultures and traditions, and high-quality art. They succeeded in creating a very imaginative and thought-provoking line of books and CDs that not only are fun, but also are educational to both children and their parents. Barefoot Books works with authors and storytellers from around the world, each one bringing their own cultural flavor to the stories. The artwork and illustrations are cute and colorful, also bringing a unique flair to the stories for which they are drawn.
I am especially a fan of the book My Daddy is a Pretzel. Being a yoga enthusiast myself, it is wonderful to read a book describing the art of yoga to my son as well as teaching him about yoga postures and how they can be integrated into our everyday lives. It is surprising to find how easily my son has picked up on the art of yoga by reading this book with me. He has so much fun trying all of the postures in the book, which makes this story all the more amazing in that it engages him actively.
The Barefoot Books Website is a fantastic place to explore their unique line of books, CDs and gifts, as well as an interactive website for you and your children to visit. They have printable activity sheets, workbook pages, coloring pages, masks, and puzzles which are based on their line of books.

K’Nex Dueling Racers are one of the new Spring products that K’Nex has come out with this season. My husband and son have been playing with this K’Nex set the moment we got it and now they have a blast building their race cars every evening before bedtime. It has become a great way for the two of them to have fun together and create some very cool cars.
The K’Nex Dueling Racers set includes instructions to build two battery-powered race cars at the same time. Each race car has instructions for two different models. It’s also really easy to be creative and to design your own race cars once you get the hang of how to build the model cars. The set comes with 132 pieces, including two motors and all the K’Nex building elements, so the possibilities are endless. Also, K’Nex building elements are compatable with other popular building systems too, which opens the possibility up of creating even more elaborate cars. This particular K’Nex set is for children seven years and up, and requires 4 AA batteries to power the motors.
K’Nex also has two other new additions to it’s Spring line: the Cool Construction set and the Rescue Assortment, both of which feature colorful new bricks and can be mixed with any of the other set in the K’Nex line for even more fun. Both of these sets are geared toward the younger builders, as they are recommended for ages as young as five and up.
